Proceedings คือ เอกสารหรือหนังสือที่รวบรวมบทความวิจัย บทคัดย่อ หรือเอกสารนำเสนอในการประชุมวิชาการหรือวิชาชีพ ที่จัดขึ้นทั้งในระดับท้องถิ่น ระดับชาติ และระดับนานาชาติ โดยสมาคม หน่วยงาน หรือองค์กร จัดให้มีการประชุม เพื่อเป็นการพบปะระหว่างนักวิทยาศาสตร์ นักวิชาชีพ ในสาขาวิชาเดียวกันอย่างต่อเนื่อง วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ความคิดเห็น และความร่วมมือกัน มีการนำเสนอผลการค้นคว้าวิจัยใหม่ในที่ประชุม รายงานการประชุมที่เผยแพร่เป็นรูปเล่ม (Proceedings) ดำเนินการตีพิมพ์ผลงานฉบับสมบูรณ์เผยแพร่หลังการประชุม แบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ 1. การประชุมวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ (International Conference) 2. การประชุมวิชาการระดับชาติ (National Conference) [บรรณารักษ์และสารสนเทศศาสตร์] From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 [gcide]: Proceed \Pro*ceed"\, v. i.
