Overview

Based on the fifth story arc of Hirohiko Araki's manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo.

The game was originally supposed to be released in North America, but copyright issues involving music and artist names (many characters and other things in JJBA are named after musicians and songs, etc.) became an issue. Hirohiko Araki, creator of JJBA, refused to change character names for the localization, and thus its release in North America was cancelled.

In the original story, the year is 1868 in England and the cries of a baby are heard by a vandal named Dario Brando. He follows the crying to an overturned stagecoach and intends to rob the occupants whom he presumes are dead. He finds a male that is still alive named George Joestar who offers Dario a reward for helping them. Fast forward to 1880 and Dario Brando is dying in bed and tells his son Dio to go to the Joestars to cash in Dario's reward. George Joestar welcomes Dio to the family but son Jonathan is less welcoming when he discovers Dio's true nature. Dio Brando and Jonathan Joester started the adventure in 1880s England and their bloody legacy would span generations.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Ougon no Kaze is an action adventure video game made for the PlayStation 2. The game is based on the fifth story arc of Hirohiko Araki's manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo.

Le Bizzarre Avventure di GioGio: Vento Aureo'?s graphics are similar to other cel-shaded games, like Jet Set Radio. The developer Capcom has utilized a game engine called "Artistoon" in order to create a graphical style similar to Araki's art style in the manga.

In the far future in Italy, the son of the evil vampire Dio, Giorno (nicknamed GioGio), has discovered the power of the "Stand", a psychic manifestation that can either assist or hinder the one affected by it. His Stand is the Golden Experience, which can drain the life of his foes to heal himself. GioGio, aided by several of his friends, feels an evil power looming before them, like nothing they've ever seen before. And before it's too late, they must destroy that evil...before it destroys them!

A fast paced and action-packed manga, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure regaled fans in 7 parts spanning a century of blood feuds. The Jojo no Kimyouna Bouken: Ougon no Kaze game recounts the storyline in the fifth arc of the Jojo series where Dio's son, Giorno Giovanna and his crew travel to Naples and go up against a band of evil Stand users. The Stand is a form of psychic force / manifestation which stands next to the conjurer and battles foes with bombastic effect. Visual animations and artwork in the PS2 game dazzle with highly impressive cel-shaded style which has been raging amongst the video literati.

Most of Le Bizzarre Avventure di GioGio: Vento Aureo's gameplay takes place in the form of hand-to-hand combat. The series' avatars, known as the Stands, aid the characters in battle by giving them combat abilities, as well as special attacks. Puzzles are also a part of the game requiring the use of Stands in order to solve them.
