Show  A ssociation for the D evelopment of E nvironmental Q uality ความเป็นมาของสมาคมพัฒนาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม===> about us English Version Clike here สมาคมพัฒนาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ใช้ชื่อย่อว่า ส.พ.ส. และใช้ชื่อภาษาอังกฤษว่า “Association for the Development of Environmental Quality” หรือเรียกชื่อย่อว่า “ADEQ” มีสัญลักษณ์เป็นรูป 3 เหลี่ยม มีใบไม้ 3 ใบอยู่ตรงกลาง โดยใบไม้ทั้งสามเป็นตัวแทนของสมดุลของระบบนิเวศ และแต่ละด้านของสามเหลี่ยมเป็นตัวแทนของ ดิน น้ำ และอากาศ ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการก่อให้เกิดความสมดุลของระบบนิเวศ สมาคมพัฒนาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ก่อตัั้งและจดทะเบียนในปี พ.ศ. 2531 และต่อมาในปี พ.ศ.2543 ได้จดทะเบียนเป็นองค์กรเอกชนด้านการคุ้มครองสิ่งแวดล้อมและอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ตามพระราชบัญญัติส่งเสริมและรักษาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งชาติ พ.ศ. 2535 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมให้สังคมไทยเป็นสังคมสุขภาวะที่มีการบริโภคที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม สมาคมฯ มีงานหลักๆ คือ
สังคมไทยเป็นสังคมสุขภาวะที่มีการผลิตและการบริโภคที่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม พันธกิจเสริมสร้างศักยภาพสังคมไทยในการปรับตัว และรับมือกับสถานการณ์ต่างๆที่เกิดจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยเน้นกระบวนการทำงานอย่างเป็นระบบครบวงจร ต่อเนื่อง บนพื้นฐานการมีส่วนร่วมของทุกฝ่าย การดำเนินงาน1. การปลูกสร้างจิตสำนึก ด้านการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมและการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างกว้างขวางในสังคมไทย
2. การส่งเสริมการขับเคลื่อนสังคมไทยให้เป็นสังคมที่พร้อมรับมืออย่างเป็นระบบต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม
3. การศึกษาวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Action research) ทางด้านกระบวนการขับเคลื่อนให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมต่อการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการสร้างเสริมสุขภาพ
4. การให้คำปรึกษา ทางด้านกระบวนการขับเคลื่อนอย่างเป็นระบบ เป็นองค์รวมและอย่างมีส่วนร่วม แก่หน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน เพื่อส่งเสริมให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงด้านใดด้านหนึ่ง อย่างเป็นรูปธรรมและยั่งยืน เพิ่มขีดความสามารถของหน่วยงานในการปรับตัวเพื่อรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม เช่น การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้ทรัพยากรและลดการปล่อยของเสียออกสู่สิ่งแวดล้อมโดยองค์กร การเปลี่ยนแปลงด้านสุขภาวะองค์กร ฯลฯ 5. การผลิตสื่อ โดยผลิตและเผยแพร่สื่อด้านการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงด้านสุขภาพ
เมื่อ วันที่ 4 พฤศจิกายน 2556 สถาบันคีนันแห่งประเอเชียจัดงานมอบรางวัลองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนแห่งประเทศไทย ประจำปี 2556 THAILAND NGO AWARDS 2013 ขึ้นที่โรงแรมคราวน์พลาซ่า โดยในปีนี้มีองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนสนใจเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันจำนวน 118 องค์กร จากทั่วทุกภูมิภาคในประเทศไทย โดยมีการคัดเลือกพิจารณาจากใบสมัคร เข้าตรวจประเมินและเก็บข้อมูลในภาคสนาม เพื่อเฟ้นหาองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนดีเด่นจำนวน 12 องค์กร ซึ่งข้อมูลทั้ง 12 องค์กรนี้ได้ถูกนำเสนอต่อคณะกรรมการระดับประเทศ เพื่อประกอบการพิจารณาตัดสินหาองค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทยประจำ ปี 2556 ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น องค์กรขนาดเล็ก ขนาดกลาง และขนาดใหญ่ ทั้งนี้ สมาคมพัฒนาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ได้รับรางวัล “องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชนแห่งประเทศไทยขนาดกลางยอดเยี่ยมประจำปี 2556″ โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร. ศันสนีย์ กีรติวิริยาภรณ์ เลขาธิการสมาคมพัฒนาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นผู้ขึ้นรับรางวัลในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งของรางวัลที่ได้รับคือ โล่รางวัล เกียรติบัตร และเงินรางวัล 100,000 บาท ได้สร้างความปลื้ม ปิติ ยินดี ให้กับผู้บริหารและบุคลากรในองค์กรเป็นอย่างยิ่งทางสมาคมฯสัญญาว่าจะเดิน หน้าดำเนินกิจกรรมอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างต่อเนื่อง จะผลักดันให้เกิดการขับเคลื่อนด้านการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวด ล้อมในสังคม อย่างยั่งยื่นต่อไป The Association for the Development of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) The Association for the Development of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is a non profit research and education organization committed to environmental protection and restoration in Thailand. ADEQ’s work is firmly grounded in scientific and technical disciplines and reaches a wide variety of audiences, from the Thai citizens who interact with environment directly, to the journalists who supply those citizens with technical information, to the religious and cultural institutions that lead people morally, to the businesspeople who a key producer in Thai society, to the government leaders who set national policy. The association has been working on these guiding principles:
ADEQ’s strategy is three folds: active public learning, policy advising with strategic planning, and networking all of which are supported by its systematic, scientific and academics insight and long term visioning towards the end of environmental protection. Several issues are of ADEQ’s focus. They are for example energy, water, resource recycling and green development. PROGRAM AND ISSUE OF INTERESTS 1. Public Learning on Environment and Natural Resources: Climate Change, Energy, Water, forest, wildlife, etc.Though high levels of resource use such as energy, water and so on are often equated with high levels of development, more definite connection exists between resource use and environmental degradation. The intent of ADEQ’s programs on this issue is to make the link clear to key sectors of Thai society, and to provide information about cost-effective alternatives which can save money and protect the environment. Such alternatives are for example, energy conservation by changing pattern of use from one that is inefficient to those that are more efficient, and by using energy efficiency technologies or renewable energy when ever possible or resource recycling, an alternative for waste management to preserve both the resources and environment. Over the past 20 years, ADEQ works to speed the dissemination of resource conservation knowledge to the Thai citizens. By implementing the program “Raise Against Resource Waste”, many public campaigns in the form of advising, public lectures, series of hand-on exhibitions and workshops, and booklet and poster publishing were organised and said to have multiplying effects on inspiring public participation positively toward resource conservation. Thai people such as youths, consumers, operators and policy makers are becoming, to some extent, aware of resource conservation and environmental protection. However, to make a progress on environmental conservation issue is to overcome the gap between the environmental value people claim to have and what they actually do. This may require a shift in the underlying value people place on the environment and the active environmental education could be a key answer. To transform Thai people’s believe, value, attitude placed on the environment, ADEQ in 1999 established its own hand-on learning/training center “Ruam-TaWan Center” and has since then organized all year round workshops, seminars, environmental campaigns, training camps for a specific group of participants (Youths, School teachers, business enterprises and governmental officials) and general publics. 2. Green WaysThinking and reacting Green is powerful tools to increase the ability of the country to minimize resource waste and environmental pollution. Being green consumers, green operators, green producers (to produce green products) or green policy makers are the message that ADEQ tries to convey to the Thai people at different sectors. Apart from that ADEQ, for the past 10 years, has been trying to develop and operate various mechanisms to drive a specific group of target (sectors) to reach a status what so call “Green Schools or Energy Mind Schools” for the school sector and Green Hotel” for the hotel operators. These Have been carrying out by integrating the concept of “being green” to the organization’s (schools or Hotels) strategic plan and implementation. The program to drive an organization toward SDGs by being a green organization for example: Energy Mind Award Program: A certification program to help schools implementing energy-environmental conservation practices within a school’s system To be able to integrate energy and environmental conservation in school’s learning process and its management practices would ensure that the students would grow up with a broader perspective of and put a higher value in energy and environmental conservation so that they would live their lives in a more sustainable manner in the long run. Energy Mind Award Program: a certification program has been initiated and conducted since 2008 for the schools in Bangkok and surrounding area. Its main objective is to help schools improve their efficiency in saving energy, water and other resources and reduction of waste generated while integrating the concept of energy and environmental conservation into their education program (curriculum and learning process). The award (raking between 1-5stars) will be issued to the schools of which the environmental practices meet the energy mind criteria: energy and environmental policy and management criteria; energy and water efficiency criteria; waste management criteria; environmental education criteria etc. 3. Team BuildingExperiences have shown that to be able to successfully conserve natural resources, public participation and team-work is significantly of importance. Training workshops on environmental team building and resource efficiency team building has been held regularly over the past few years to meet specific needs of target audiences, including government agencies, NGOs and business — to support partly ADEQ’s finance. System knowledge, group process, resource dynamics, decision making and environmental protection are taught at the workshop together with core course elements such as ice breaking, problem solving activities and trust-confident building up. 4. PublicationsADEQ publishes its own newsletter “Pok-Pak Rak-Sa” (meaning “preserve”) and distributes to its members and supporters quarterly. In additions, a number of booklets and posters, fact sheets have also been produced, published and distributed to its members and supporters and to the general public on a request basis, as part of ADEQ’s mission to reach the general public. 5. AdvisingADEQ seeks to be non-confrontational, pointing out more solutions than problems. In that spirit, ADEQ works extensively with business and industry to make their activities more environmentally sound. ADEQ has:

Among all, Dr Chirapol Sintunawa, took a leading and active role in developing ADEQ from unstructured NGO to one that is better constructed, efficient and influential organization. Dr Chirapol, now serves as ADEQ’s Director, holds a PhD in Energy Analysis and System Dynamics from the University of Stratclyde, Glasgow, UK. He used to serve as an Advisor to the Parliament’s Environmental Committee since 1992-1995 and a member of Advisory Committee to the Governor of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on the Environment during 1993-2009. He has consulted (for national and local governments and private firms), lectured, and broadcast widely, and written or co-authored several books, 15 booklets, numerous articles. He was awarded several prizes and the most recent one: the National Outstanding Achievement Awardees for Conservation and Management of Natural Resources and the Environment 1995 awarded by the Office of Prime Minister in 1995. Dr Sansanee Keeratiwiriyaporn, who holds PhD in Energy Management and System Dynamics from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK, serves as the secretary General and Program Director of ADEQ. |
