I know this is a bit late but I bought this laptop back in 2016. It seemed OK when I first started using it. I mainly got it to do light Internet surfing and chat. However I noticed that even these tasks started becoming a chore for this underpowered i3 CPU.
First thing I noticed is the old non-SSD HD is constantly being accessed and it brings everything to a standstill. So I turned off indexing and made every tweak I could to get it up to speed. I gave up on Windows 10.
I installed Linux Mint via SSD card and nd got MUCH improved performance. It worked so well that I could easy watch video on the laptop. I wanted to swap out the HD and install Linux on it or an older version of Windows, but it's a real pain getting to the HD. Basically have to remove the keyboard to actually get to the HD it's a good while to do this.
Either way it was not worth the $333 I paid for it back in 2016. I guess you live and learn. I would recommend getting a used i5 HP laptop from E-Bay or somewhere. Maybe spend a bit more, but Dell really dropped the ball on this one.

Very Good product at this price point. I bought this for my father who is a light user. The i3 runs all the basic tasks- Heavy Browsing, Light stock market applications etc. pretty well Considering it doesnt come with a SSD, Boot time is still pretty short and the current battery life is good at ~7-8 hrs.
Out of the box the product had a minor issue, which I was able to fix. This isn't expected in an out of box product as it ruins the overall user-experience. [One of the reason why people pay for costlier apple products]. I would just say poor quality control. Average user would just return the product or just live with it.
Issue: The laptop was packed well and on removing from the sleeve looked good. However on turning it ON, I saw bright spot towards the right side of the screen. All the pixels in the area were working working fine - Some people might have just lived with it. Having an OCD, I just contacted amazon for replacement. However the replacement wasn't reaching me in time and I needed to drop this off to my dad when I was visiting him. I googled about pressure marks and planned to try and fix it myself. I cancelled the return and amazon provided me compensation to get this fixed. [+1 to Amazon for this]
I opened up the display, and unscrewed the LCD from the top cover. What I saw was a - "small lose screw sitting behind the lcd screen". This was pressing against the back of the LCD screen causing the bright spot on the display. I believe a case of a lost screw while assembling the laptop - and there, I found it! Once removed, the bright spot was gone.

At first I loved this laptop, but after having it for a while, it has gotten progressively worse. See below for updates.
Update* After having this laptop for 3 weeks, I have discovered that the on board wifi card is pretty weak. It looses the server multiple times a day. I have to either disconnect from my network and reconnect or restart the laptop usually around 4-5 times a day to get the server back, a problem I never had with my old refurbished laptop. It's a minor frustration, but for the price, I'm still happy. I tried adding a wireless adapter, but with that I would only get 2-3 bars, so it was a lot slower. So I decided the frequent loosing of the server was better then the sluggishly slow usb wireless adapter.
