The Fuji Hakone Pass is available to visitors to the area is is valid for a three day span. The ticket is only sold at the Odakyu Train Line information desks at Odawara Station and Shinjuku Station. The pass gives you the freedom to explore the Mt. Fuji area on the Fujikyu bus and train systems in addition to allowing you free use of the buses, trains, ropeway, and cruise ships of Hakone. There are two types of tickets, one that includes round trip transportation from Shinjuku and one that doesn`t. If you are departing from Shinjuku the pass is ¥8000 for adults and ¥4000 for children. A departure from Odawara station would cost ¥5650 for adults and ¥2820 for kids.

Validity

One-way trip to/from Tokyo

1. A one-way trip by Odakyu Railway is covered between Tokyo's Shinjuku Station and Shin-Matsuda Station. The one-way trip can be done in either direction.
2. You may use local or express trains; however, if you use a Romance Car train, a supplement fee has to be paid (1200 yen one way between Shinjuku and Hakone-Yumoto; or 1150 yen if using an e-ticket).

Free area

1. Unlimited use of Odakyu Railway between Shin-Matsuda and Odawara, the Hakone Tozan Railway (between Odawara and Gora), the cablecar and ropeway from Gora to Lake Ashinoko, sightseeing ships on Lake Ashinoko and many buses in the Hakone area, including Hakone Tozan buses and the Odakyu bus between Togendai and Gotemba.
2. Unlimited use of Fujikyu buses between Gotemba and the Fuji Five Lake region and between Gotemba, Gotemba 5th Station, Yeti and Grinpa.
3. Unlimited use of the Fujikyuko Railway Line between Kawaguchiko Station and Otsuki Station and of regular Fujikyu buses in the Fuji Five Lake region, including the Omni buses around Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko (but not including the bus to the 5th Station).

1. Discounted admission to selected attractions in the Hakone and Fuji Five Lake areas.
2. The Fuji Hakone Pass is valid on three consecutive days.

Assessment

This pass can pay off if you visit both Hakone and the Fuji Five Lakes and make use of the buses around the Fuji Five Lakes. If you do not use buses in the Fuji Five Lake region, a Hakone Free Pass combined with regular tickets can come cheaper.
